Slaughterhouse “Flip a Bird”

Sample from Imogen Heap’s “Little Bird”

Before I start talking about “Flip a Bird” I want to make one thing clear: “Welcome To: Our House” is the best rap album of 2012. Sorry Kendrick, but it’s true. This album is great on so many levels. For one, it’s mixed like a movie. Literally, this album is a three part movie, and not some Michael Bay piece of crap, but a Martin Scorsese masterpiece. Second and most importantly, the lyrics are outstanding on verse after verse.  I could go one about this one for days, but let’s just talk about the track. “Flip a Bird” is the part of the story where the Slaughterhouse crew’s music fails and they are all forced back into dealing drugs. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album and I have to say the beat, produced by Black Key Beats, Zukhan, and Eminem, is out of this world. It samples Imogen Heap’s “Little Bird”. Check out both tracks below and let us know what you think.
